Are you one of those people that just have to have all of the coolest gadgets and latest technology for your car? Then you might want to make your ride even more pimp with a disappearing car door. You should check out this website to learn more about it. I still don’t completely understand how it works, but it looks really cool…and expensive.
This video is a little old by now so if you are a hip-hop fan or even just a big music fan you may have seen it. RJD2 is one of my favorite beat makers and musicians in the underground scene. The video below is for his song, Work It Out, which displays Bill Shannon traveling around the city on crutches. This isn’t actually just a hobby of his, but this is how he gets around in real life due to a degenerative hip condition. Anyway, check out this awesome music video and let me what you think about it.
If you’re anything like me, you’re cheap and like to get things for free. I am a huge computer geek so I am always looking for free software that can help make my life easier, and now there’s a directory that lists all kinds of software that is open source and is free to everyone.
Open Source Living was just recently created and has exploded in popularity in the recent weeks. Directories don’t usually do very well, but this directory does so many things right. The design looks nice, it doesn’t look like a typical web directory, it contains only high quality and reputable software, and everything listed on the site is free. It’s just a very valuable resource all around.
Open Source Living contains pretty much everything you can think of that you would need on your computer. There are sections for web tools, graphics and photo, audio, web development, entertainment, content management, and more. Can’t afford Photoshop? Check out Gimp. Don’t wanna drop thousands of dollars down for Final Cut Pro? Take a look at Jahshaka. There is a tool here for anything you might need and they are adding more every day.
So what did you get for Christmas? Lots of goodies I hope. I had a great Christmas with my family; a good time, great dinner and awesome gifts. Not one crappy gift card either. If you didn’t fare so well, and you got some gift cards that you’ll probably never use, there’s a site out there just for you. Swapagift.com is an online marketplace for buying, selling, and swapping gift cards. It’s a really cool idea and it only costs $1.99 to list your gift card for swap or sale on the site for 150 days. You should check out the website if you want to learn more.
Michelle and I went to the Symphony in Lights in Northfield at Stapleton here in Colorado and it was pretty good. If you don’t know what it is, it is huge light show in the new Stapleton Shopping area and was originally choreographed by Carson Williams, who you might remember from the popular video spread around the net in 2005 when the Christmas lights on his house were choreographed to the music of the Tran-Siberian Orchestra. This year the show in Stapleton had a display of over 250,000 lights programmed to the music of Trans-Siberian Orchestra as well.
The display takes place from 6-9pm and ends December 31st, 2007, so if you live in the Denver area, you better head up there right away. Check out the video below for the whole show if your not able to make it this year. It’s really a lot of fun.
