Another good tip for glass is if you get it in your hand or whatever, Apply a small amount of white glue and let it dry (works for splinters of wood and iron too) when dry peel splinter off!

The dryer vent is one I'm going to try right away! Ours uses so much electricity and I never thought to try cleaning the filter. There are a bunch of other great ones on here too!

The squirrel-proof feeders that Montana mentioned are sold at Lowe's. They work perfectly. Every year we watch the young squirrels try to beat it, but they soon learn that they don't get a free meal here.

Ants love cornmeal, but it doesn't kill them, it's just food. Now mix some Borax in there and you'll have something.

And a better way to reheat pizza is 1 minute in a microwave, then transfer to a toaster oven to crisp up the crust.

Also, try breathing in that cayenne powder yourself, kinda burns right? So yeah, it will deter a squirrel, but if your pet snorts it up you're hurting them too. The only truly effective squirrel deterrent I've ever found is hunting hounds, and they only work at ground level.

The oils used in dryer sheets AND fabric softener build up, not only on the lint trap, but other parts of the dryer as well. I had trouble with my new-ish dryer getting the clothes dry, and called the repairman. He took off the front panel and used his screwdriver to scrape off the oil/lint combo that was coating the motor fan. He said he says that on almost every call. Said to use fabric softener in the washer but never in the dryer, and stay away from the dryer sheets. Just an FYI. ;)

That's interesting Dani. I've heard that ants won't cross a chalk line either. And I'd love to see that squirrel-proof feeder in action ;)

Also, my favorite squirrel-proof feeder is one I saw in Arizona a few years ago--it has a motor in it, so when a squirrel jumps onto the rail, it triggers the powerful rotating motion and sends the squirrel flying. It's not strong enough to hurt the little guys, but it sure is funny.
