Making Home Made Skittle Flavored Vodka

Making Home Made Skittle Flavored Vodka

I just came across an article the other day explaining how to make Skittle flavored vodka and I just had to mention it. Doesn’t that sound mouth watering?

I have to admit that I absolutely hate vodka, but the descriptions in the Skittles Vodka Tutorial make it sound delicious and I’m gonna give it another try.

For a quick run down of how to make, basically all you have to do is separate the flavors of a large bag of Skittles, put 60 of each color in an individual bottle filled with 6 oz of Vodka, soak til dissolved, filter into a glass flask and chill overnight.

Those are the quick and dirty directions, so you better read the post for the details. I’ll be making these sometime this week, I hope, if I find time.

I’ve seen this before, and all I thought was, well… wouldn’t it be a lot easier just to buy fruit colour and put a few drops in a bottle?

But then it wouldn’t taste like Skittles. I have a feeling this tastes really good and Skittles have always been one of my favorite candies. Vodka not so much, but I’ll give it a try.
