If you’re a fan of RPG video games and dubstep, you’re going to like Skrillex Quest, a game inspired by the Legend of Zelda series. You play as the hero in a world that is being overrun by glitches which started after dust got on the game’s computer chip. It’s your job to save the day before the entire game is corrupted.

Music from the famous dubstep DJ, Skrillex also plays a big part of the game.

There’s a timer that runs down during each stage and you have to try to collect everything you can before it runs out. There are scrolls, treasures and keys, all of which somehow effect parts of the storyline. My first run-through, which took only about 15 minutes, resulted in me not getting to see any of that bonus storyline material because I suck. I’m going to play again and again until I collect everything though.

I enjoyed this game a ton. Keep an eye out for fun throwback glitches too. I saw Glass Joe from Mike Tyson’s Punch Out in one of them!

The first photo was taken in the fall of 2011 while Murad and his journalist girlfriend, Nataly Zakharova, were vacationing in Spain. Nataly was tired of Murad taking so many pictures so she grabbed his hand and dragged him away. Obviously that didn’t stop him from taking pictures and that’s when this wonderful project started.

This is why the rich kids are so popular – they can afford to buy things like the Flyboard. This thing looks awesome! They cost $6,495.00 each from Rocky Mountain Flyboard and require connection to a PWC or personal watercraft, like a Jet Ski.

If you live in Utah where the company is located, you can also rent one, also for a whole bunch of money. I looked around on the web and found other resellers and renters too, so if you live in another state, consider looking for dealers near you.

So I’ve got about 3 months before Summer to save up $6,500 and another $500 or so for a Jet Ski. Or maybe I can just find some rich people to be friends with. Neither are going to happen. I’ll just wait 10 years and hope to find one on Craigslist.

It might sound weird that my brother, 29, would give me, a 30 year old male, a knitting doll for Christmas, but its actually one of coolest gifts I’ve ever received.

Me and my brother spent a lot of time with our grandparents growing up, in particular my grandma, who is German. Our grandma introduced us to many of the things she grew up with in Germany – things like scary fairy tales (look up Struwwelpeter and you’ll see what I mean), Mensch ärgere Dich nicht (board game), and of course the Strickliesel (knitting doll).

I had completely forgotten about the Strickliesel! What a surprise it was to see one again. It’s so awesome to be taken back to such wonderful times with my brother and my grandparents. I really do cherish these memories. My Grandma seemed surprised to see one again too. She couldn’t believe my brother found it at World Market. I love that place

Can you think of any toys that take you back to your childhood? Please do share in the comments.

You have to be careful about what you share online these days. I think people have a false sense of security when they say something online because they think nobody important is paying attention or that it’s no big deal. Of course that’s never the case.

People have been fired for what they’ve posted on Twitter. Celebrities and businesses have received massive backlash after posting insensitive tweets, for example the NRA and Celeb Boutique after the Aurora, CO movie theatre shooting.

Protect Your Privacy

Security is also something you should be concerned about. The video below shows how hackers can discover personal relationships, home addresses, and even credit card numbers from random people pulled off of the street.

Job Recruiters Know How to Use Social Media Too

With the economy in such a sad state right now, you definitely want to watch what you post online if you’re looking for a job. One thoughtless Tweet could be discovered by the hiring manager for the job you were almost hired for. Check out this funny infographic with some interesting facts about that.

Infographic provided by OnlineClasses.org

Have You Learned Anything Yet?

If there’s a lesson to be learned here, it’s that you should think twice before posting anything online. Don’t post something too controversial. Don’t upload a photo that you wouldn’t be comfortable showing your dear old grandma. Don’t tag your home address as your location. If you’re mad at your boss, don’t vent on Facebook. And for gosh sakes, don’t tell the world that you’re on vacation and nobody is at home.

You might have to click once on the video for it to recognize your keyboard.

I didn’t know that Vimeo had this kind of functionality available for their videos. Really cool stuff.

If you want to keep your computer safe and running smoothly, all you need to do are some simple diagnostics and clean-up. Unless you’re having computer problems that require an expert to fix, these easy steps should help you keep your system in check.

Computer Analysis

This isn’t a required step, but analysis can give you some really good insight about what’s going on inside your computer. Webroot recently released a free system analyzer that can give you more information about the speed and security/privacy of your computer.

It looks at things like:

Increasing speed

Screen resolution

Disk space

What user accounts are set up

If Windows is up-to-date

History of system crashes

Active processes currently running

System security

Installed Software

Bootup Applications/Services

Disk Fragmentation

It also runs a system anti-malware scan, which is super-handy. Here’s a quick video I put together showing how their system analyzer works. Watch it on YouTube or in full screen to see it in better detail.

Optimizing and Cleaning Your Computer

After running an analysis of your computer, next you should run a cleanup program. There are a couple of great options that are free and easy to use.

CCleaner is available for both Mac and PC and can clean your computer of all sorts of junk that you don’t need anymore, such as temporary system files, browser history, cookies and log files. For Windows users it can also clean up your registry. You can’t delete anything important with CCLeaner, but you can delete saved passwords and other things that make life easier so make sure to look closely at the boxes you check before running the program.

Another option for Mac users is iBoostUp, which works like CCleaner, but with additional features. I like to use both. These programs can seriously clear up some space on your hard drive. I ran iBoost up and CCleaner a few months ago on my sadly neglected Macbook and cleared up almost 7 GBs of space.

For Windows users still running Windows XP or older OS’s, you might also consider using a defrag program such as Auslogics Disk Defrag or MyDefrag. Vista and Windows 7 defrag automatically, so no need to worry if you’re on a newer system.

In Conclusion

Simple maintenance like this can easily save you the frustrations of having a slow, bogged-down system. I would recommend running a computer analysis and optimization tool every couple of months to keep everything running smoothly. Or if you’re lazy like me, just set CCleaner on a schedule. Set it and forget it, baby!

The start of the NFL regular season just started and as I was watching the Bills vs. Jets game yesterday, I got to thinking about some of the fun touchdown celebrations that have happened over the course of NFL history. I decided to look up some of the best celebrations on YouTube which snowballed into watching way too many videos and then putting together this post.

These aren’t in any particular order.

Enjoy!

Jermaine Wiggins – Breakdancing

Check out those moves! Pretty good for a 270 lb. guy.

Billy “White Shoes” Johnson – The Funky Chicken

This is one of the most famous and recognizable end-zone dances in NFL history.

Johnnie Morton – The Worm

Johnnie Morton is well-known for doing the worm in the end-zone. He’s definitely got the form down after all those years of practice.

Steve Smith – Row Boat

Steve Smith is known for his outrageous and creative touchdown celebrations as evidenced in this video. This celebration was making fun of the then-recent Vikings sex party boat scandal. Another one of his famous celebrations featured him holding the ball as a baby, burping it and wiping its butt.

Steve Johnson – Mocking Plaxico Burress

In 2008, Plaxico Burress took a gun with him to a Manhattan nightclub where he proceeded to accidentally shoot himself in the thigh. This is Steve Johnson’s funny/mean jab at Burress.

Wel Welker – Snow Angel

Because of the NFL’s rule of not being allowed to go to the ground to celebrate, Welker was fined and had to pony up $10,000 for this little stunt.

Randy Moss – Disgusting Act

This one got a lot of people riled up, but what everyone seems to enjoy most about it is how much it offended Joe Buck, the commentator in this video.

Maurice Jones-Drew (MJD) – Lebron James Powder Toss

Maurice Jones-Drew rubbed it in after this touchdown by mimicking former Cleveland Cav’s Lebron James powder toss. The onslaught of boos from the crowd was surely satisfying to MJD.

Ken Norton Jr. – Boxing Practice

Niners fans came to expect this from Ken Norton Jr. after every touchdown

Lamont Jordan – The Chainsaw

Jordan credits this idea to his teammate Tory Woodbury. This one is regularly featured in “Best touchdown celebrations ever” articles and for good reason. It’s hilarious!

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson – Too Many to Name

You could probably spend all day watching videos of Ochocinco performing wacky touchdown celebrations, but this video has the best of them. My favorite is the golf putting one which starts at 2:40 in the video above, but I also think the riverdance and salsa dance celebrations are pretty funny.

Terrell Owens – Miming, Pom Poms and Sharpies

Just like Ochocinco, T.O. loves to celebrate after a touchdown. He clearly spends a lot of time thinking them up. Some people love it but it seems like most people hate it.

Joe Horn – Goal Post Cell Phone

If Wes Welker was fined $10K for making a snow angel, it’s no surprise that Joe Horn was fined $30k for this stunt. He was almost suspended for the final two games of the season too, which would have cost him around $80k of his $700,000 base salary.

Kelley Washington – Squirrel Dance

The squirrel dance cracks me up! This is one of the funniest touchdown dances ever.

Merton Hanks – Chicken Dance

It wouldn’t be a “best of” post without Merton Hanks famous chicken dance.

Warren Sapp – The Beyonce

I’m not really sure why this celebration was called “The Beyonce” because it doesn’t look like anything I’ve ever seen Beyonce do, but it’s funny nonetheless.

Barry Cofield – Taser Celebration

Ok, so this one isn’t an end-zone celebration, but I think it deserves a mention. Cofield mimicked the act of shocking himself with a taser after this big sack on Tarvaris Jackson.

David Nelson – Hugging The Other Team’s Cheerleader

This one’s funny because because David Nelson of the Buffalo Bills, is(was?) dating one of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Talk about sleeping with the enemy

Antonio Brown – Benni Biggle Wiggle

I always like these funny quick-feet dances. The Benni Biggle Wiggle was created by Miami rapper P.A. Teezy.

Alfonso Smith – The Carlton Dance

I’m surprised more people haven’t done the Carlton dance on the field. It’s a classic!

Elbert “Ickey” Woods The Ickey Shuffle

Another historical celebration that many football fans should know.

Tony Scheffler – AT&T Flash Mob

This one is based off of the funny AT&T flash mob commercial.

The Fun Bunch

The early 1980′s Washington Redskin’s Fun Bunch is who you have to thank for the league-wide ban on excessive celebrations that was enacted in 1984. The group would usually celebrate with a group high five after a touchdown.

..and one celebration FAIL video to finish this post off. This is a fresh one from the 49ers vs. Packers game yesterday.

If you feel like there are any great celebrations that I’ve missed, please feel free to post them in the comments!

For most people, or at least for me, it’s hard to come up with good gift ideas, so I’m always on the look out for good resources for finding gifts for friends and loved ones. I actually wrote a post right before Christmas called Awesome and Different Christmas Gift Ideas that you might also find helpful.

Over the weekend, I came across No Sweaters, which is gift idea search engine.

On the home page, you type in the person you’re getting a gift for, such as your mom, husband, girlfriend, fiance, girlfriends parents, boss, barista, roommate, or anyone else you can think of, and the website offers some suggestions on the following page. If you don’t like what’s offered, you can drill a little deeper by entering an occasion, such as a birthday, and then selecting a few interests.

I gave it test run for my fiance (I had to enter “wife” since fiance is gender neutral) and after selecting a few of her interests, it actually came back with some very relevant results. I was surprised.

And if you still can’t find a good gift, you have the option of asking the No Sweater community, who can help you come up with even more ideas. This is such a cool idea.

Remember this site come Christmas!
