The work of James Jean
It’s always a great experience to discover an artist you knew nothing about. Either a new and emerging artist or an artist that lived centuries ago- encountering any new art that speaks to you can be awe inspiring.

Droog Do Hit Chair

Ever hit your funny bone on the corner of a wall? Or stub your toe on the coffee table leg? How about slam your thumb in the car door? And the only thing you can think about is pounding the hell out of something to alleviate frustration and pain?
Well, for a mere $5,924, Unica Home supplies a 39.3″ x 27.5″ x 29.5″ cube made from .04″ steel that you can hammer (sledge hammer included) to your heart’s content, easing your throbbing joint, into a fabulous functional piece of art. And for the not-so-artistically-inclined folks, you can buy a ready made crumpled cube for $6,718. If you plan on really using this piece to sit and relax, be sure to get a nice plump cushion to prevent any sharp metal from poking the behind.

Rant of the Week: I Hate People and Their Dirty Tricks

I work in the very competitive industry of internet marketing so I’ve seen my fair share of dirty tricks. Some people don’t care about the way they do business as long as they’re #1. This isn’t the way I work though. I work hard to get my clients lots of business and I do it legitimately.
This is why this new software I just heard about pisses me off. What it does is trick Craigslist into thinking that other peoples posts are spam and will delete them. It will click on those “flag as spam” links several times on the competitors posting and will make it look like it has come from unique IP addresses.

Homer Simpson Drawn in CSS
Do you know what CSS is? If not, it stands for Cascading Style Sheets and the code it uses gives website the styles (fonts, colors, backgrounds, etc.) that are visible to the user. I know CSS enough to understand it and work with it a little bit.

Tangled Wires Are Actually Art

Everybody has this problem somewhere in their home. At least I think they do. Tangled wires. I have this problem in just about every possible place you can think of in my house, but I’m a tech geek so I’ve got electronics everywhere. Now, I’ve always thought this was quite ugly, and I’m even embarrassed by it sometimes, but maybe there isn’t a reason for me to worry about it after all.
South Korean designer, Kwangho Lee has taken the idea of messy wires and has created these “artistic” lamp sculptures. What he does is strips down a lamp to basically nothing and weaves the exposed cable into various designs, as you can see from the photo above. So what do you think? Gonna get one? Check out some more pictures here.
