Pencilmation
What would happen if your animation came to life? Well, watch this video and see how much fun it could be. A little cruel for the cartoon though.

Museum of Smoking
I'll be completely honest with you; I don't know anything about smoking. Whether it is cigarettes, cigars, or even weed- it's all over my head. I do know, however, that for as long as there was fire, there were plants and herbs to be smoked.
In this museum , current exhibits are dedicated to the kind of smoke (tobacco, ganja, and certain herbs) and its utensils.
Stop by and inhale the sweet aroma of the art, craft, and holiness of smoke.

Exploding Energy With POWERTHIRST!!
You know those commercials for energy drinks and other things like strength building vitamins and power bars, where they just won't stop yelling at you. Check out this parody video about just that. Actually, now that I think about it, this kind of reminds me of those Vault commercials.

Fox.com Redesign
If you have visited fox.com last week then this week, you should notice a big change. Fox.com has redesigned their site, quite well if I may add. So, now you must be asking yourself, "Wow! What outstanding designer did this?!" right? To answer your most intriguing question, it was Mr. Roger Obando.
Recently he quit his most stable job at Blitz Digital Studios to freelance (after he just bought a house, crazy huh?). A great and perfect move, his client list not only included Blitz Digital Studio nonetheless, but CBS, Fox, Skyy Vodka; the list goes on.
This is truly an inspiration for anyone holding a creative or even technical career. For many, taking that contentious leap of faith to freelance work can be worrisome most times, but take this as a lesson, that if you're a confident and competent designer (or whatever career you may hold) then that terrifying leap can bring bigger and better things.
Would I go freelance? Ha! Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not a risk taker at all. But that doesn't mean you can't do it.

Jerry's Back
If you don't love Seinfeld, I'm not sure what's wrong with you... You may want to get that checked out. But for all you other faithful Seinfeld fans, you'll be pleased to know that Jerry is coming out with a animation called Bee Movie. It comes out this November. Check out the trailer below and here for the movie's official site.

Google Street Maps Photos
By now, I think we have all heard of or seen funny photos on Google Street Maps, but this site has taken it to another level. They have collected hundreds of photos from Googles new map tool. Check it out here .

The Largest Pinhole Camera
Sometimes an art piece isn't just about the photograph or painting itself; it's about the idea, the uniqueness that's behind the image. Take this image as example:
It's not that interesting of a photograph; it's a contrasty black and white landscape picture. But what makes this photograph special is that the camera is a truck. It's a gigantic pinhole camera.
Not only is the back of the truck a camera , but it's also seconds as the darkroom to develop the massive photographs.

David Lynch's Dumbland
Dumbland is an extremely weird cartoon series that was written, directed, and voiced by David Lynch . If you like wierd stuff, you'll like this. Here is a collection of all eight of them combined. You'll probably have to watch this outside of work though, since it is about a half hour long and contains quite a bit of profanity. Or maybe you can squeeze it into your work day somehow.

Head Injury Theater
I love art, but now and again, I can grow pretty weary of it. The landscape photography or macro flower photography, c'mon! Or even black and white nudes... The cliché oil or acrylic distorted portraits... Art can become so very redundant and ordinary. So, when I come across something that is very off the wall and skillful, it's a great change of pace.
Head Injury Theater is extremely off the wall; not only the art work, but the artist himself. His demeanor doesn't even exude "artist," just regular guy painting when he's drunk. (That sounds like a pretty good idea, hmmm....)
I strongly recommend that you check out the entire site (which may be a little difficult, his site is a bit muddled) especially the alphabet portions. Here's an image from his Alphabet of Horror series:
Enjoy!

Ball point pens!
Before I saw this, I thought I spent a lot of ink just doodling at work... Yeah, not any more. Il Lee makes all his drawings from ball point pens... hundreds of ball point pens. This is the kind of art work that is admired for time and detail more than subject, Check out the art work below and be sure to visit his site to view a video of Il Lee creating this very tedious work.

Sumotori Dreams
If you want to play a fighting game where you play as block characters who are drunk and can barely stand, then this game is for you. This game cannot be played in your browser though, so you have to download it, but at 96k, this game will barely put a ding in your storage space. Definitely fun. Check it out below and decide if you want to download it.

Global Vote
With time, what was once unchanged society may want to alter to revolutionize an old tradition; make it fit more appropriately with today's world. Is change good? What things should be altered and what should be left alone? Just recently, (you could say) history was rewritten. I haven't read anything confirming that this new list will replace the former version, I do doubt it would completely replace it, but with something new, the old can be easily forgotten...read the full story here

Polaroid Polanoid
A site dedicated to Polaroid pictures and Polaroid picture-takers. Although the instant film we all knew and loved as children (at least I was still a child...), SX-70 was discontinued in 2006, it hasn't stopped the Polaroid lovers from using what's left in the instant film world and creating beautiful art and lomo-esk photographs.
There are a lot of things, more than you may know, that you could do with Polaroid film. Polanoid shows quick snap shots, transfers, lifts, and Day lab manufactured pictures from Polanoid photographers all over the world.

Pop Vs. Soda
I'm sure you know someone who you have had this argument with, because I sure do. So what do you call it? Pop or Soda? Check out this data that has been collected and plotted on a map of the United States to show how many people call it pop or soda and in what locations they live. The data is a bit old, but I think it is still probably pretty close to what it is today. According to this report, I win. I'm thirsty, I need a pop.

Michael Jacksons Punch Out
Have you ever played Mike Tysons Punch Out on the original Nintendo Entertainment System? Well, here is a parody of the game, but instead of Mac fighting Mike Tyson, it's Macauley Culkin fighting Michael Jackson. That super move that Michael Jackson has is awesome!!!

Americans Are Not Stupid
Actually this video depicts just how stupid many of us can be. That's if you are an American anyway. There are people from every country like this though. It's obvious that they only put what they wanted into this video too, because I know not everyone they could have asked would be that far off. Still funny. I'm not the smartest American either.

Create a Simpsons Avatar
As you know, The Simpsons have a new movie coming out soon, so they have been promoting it fairly heavily. One such way is of course, the internet. If you go to the official Simpsons Movie website they have some fun games and stuff like that, but one of the coolest things is their Simpsons Avatar creator. Above you can see how mine came out, although I'm not too sure how well of a representation of me it is. Go there and create one of your own.

Say What Again!!
First of all, HAPPY 4TH!! I know this has nothing to do with the holiday but that's ok, I don't mind, if you don't. Ok, so one of the coolest movies ever, in my mind, was Pulp Fiction and one of the coolest parts in the movie is when Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta are in the apartment looking for Marsellus Wallace. I love this scene. I guess you can say that this scene ends with some great fireworks.

Anime Character Drawn in HTML
If you know HTML (website design) at all, you will have a huge appreciation for what this person has done. This video shows someone creating an anime character completely using HTML. I wouldn't even know where to start if I was given this project.
