Rate Hotties Found In Google Street View

Google Maps Street View in the past has been known for the very funny and often embarrasing sightings that can be found through random searching. Well a website has thought of something a little more interesting for the service. Street View Hotties! If you go to the website, it looks pretty crappy, but go to browse and you can find some of the pics that have been collected. It's kinda fun, but I wish they would get around to making the site more like an actual service. By the way, you often have to drag the photo until you find where the hottie is.

You Park Like An Asshole
Don't you hate it when you go to the store and you see someone who has taken up two or three spaces just so nobody can park next to them? Or even worse, you go to a concert or a football game or something, and find that you have been blocked in. You Park Like an Asshole is a website that has gathered photos of these jerks for your entertainment. You can also send in some pics of your own if you got any. I would love to kick some of these guys asses.

Make My Logo BIGGER! Cream
In as little as the six months that I've worked at my current position, even I recognize the irnoic humor in this infomercial. I can see why a client would want their logo big for obvious reasons, but for aesthetic reasons, the size of the logo isn't that important. You want to catch the viewers' eye with a great design, leading to your logo, then leading to your business. Many times, the logo is the last thing I think of, I even forget, sometimes, to include the logo on the proof (oops).
Whether you're a graphic designer, web designer, production designer and everything between, I'm sure you've heard, "Can you make my logo bigger?" at one time or another, maybe even this morning, eh?
Well, take a look at this tongue-in-cheek infomercial and maybe send it around the office so that you all have a little comical relief from the demanding make-my-logo-bigger-clientele.
Enjoy!

Backwards Piano
Now here is a really entertaining video. This guy played some good ol' Beethoven on the Piano, which isn't weird at all, but he played it backwards. Then they reversed the video, so that you could hear it the right way. Of course it doesn't sound perfect, since it's backwards and all, but it's pretty damn good.

Dirty Car Art
You know how people always write "Wash Me" on their cars? Well, this definitely isn't anything like that. Scott Wade has drawn some really crazy stuff, such as the Mona Lisa, in the dirt and dust that has gathered on the car. Some of these pictures are just unbelievable. Check out his Dirty Car Art Gallery and prepare to be amaze-de-ded.

Family Guy 300 Trailer

We've all seen the very dramatic "300" trailers, right. Well take a look at this video on YouTube which takes the sounds of the 300 trailer and placed over scenes from the Family Guy. It works really well.

Visualizing Serving Sizes

To let the world know, I am on a very strict and so far, successful, diet. I count my calories and I work out at least 5 days a week. Counting calories can become quite a chore with measuring and counting and figuring serving sizes... To help out, I found this great chart (pdf file) that illustrates how much a popular serving size is; a cup, 1/2 cup, an ounce, a tsp, and so forth.
So, if you're on a diet or starting one, I hope this helps out. And, if you are- don't go crazy this week with Thanksgiving- Keep stong!
Happy dieting!

Share Your OPML Files
Do you know what an OPML file is? Probably not, since every single person I have every trained at work never does either. If you read blogs, you should have noticed an orange symbol that you can click on somewhere on the site or in the URL. If you click on that symbol you get a number of the blogs post on one screen. Well you are supposed to take the URL of that page and paste it into a feed reading program, such as Bloglines. Gather up a bunch of these URL's from your favorite sites and then you can read all of them in one program instead of jumping from website to website.
Now, after you gather all of these feeds, there should be an option in your feed reading program to export your OPML file. This is one file that contains all of your feeds. This is what Share Your OPML is all about. A bunch of people have uploaded their OPML files so that you can import them into your feed reader and see what other people read on a daily basis. I know it sounds a little confusing, but if you get it set up, you won't believe that you didn't know about all of this sooner.
Here's my OPML file if you want it.

Be a Real Life Paper Boater

Did you know people used to make real, full size boats out of paper in the 19th century. Idiots, huh? Just kidding. Sounds stupid, but it actually worked. This was back in the day when plastics and composite materials weren't even invented yet and paper was cheap and could be made into continous sheets. New, exciting technology in those days! Anyway if you have a whole lot of free time and are interested in creating your own, learn how here. Or just wait until you get old, retire, and can afford a real nice one.

Line Art
Kind of like a 3D etch-a-sketch, this line art from Steve Loham is a continuous line of steel making a sculpture of lovers, musicians, fishermen, etc...
Geoff Slater makes his line art on canvas creating works of landscapes and nature. These are just a few of the various artists found here. Happy viewing!

The 9 Volt Lamp
With a regular 9 volt battery and some powerful LED's, you've got yourself a cool looking little lamp. This 9 volt lamp was created by Richard Lawson for a contest put together by Mathmos. Unfortunately, the light wasn't chosen as a winner, but so many people loved it and wrote in to Mathmos about it, the company had no choice but to put the lamp into production. The lamp is a duplicate of a 9 volt battery and plugs right into one to work. Pick up the 9 VOLTS LED Battery Light for your next family get-together or BBQ. You know, dress up the yard.

Wants for Sale
Would you pay $270 for a Wii? Or $199 for an Ortiz Jersey? Or what about $65 for the Halo game? What about a painting of those things? Wants for Sale has a variety of wants and needs (paintings) for sale. The cost of the want or need is the cost of the painting. Pretty clever, huh? I particularly like the painting of $1M... I wonder if someone will ever buy that?...

Lipo In a Box

Sounds bad doesn't it? It's not actually. Lipo in a Box is actually a variety of products that go under the clothes to shape and form your body, without the use of invasive cosmetic surgery. From skin care products and bodysuits to single products such as "perkies" for the breasts, there is something here for every woman who may be a little self conscious.
I wouldn't be happy to find out the girl I've been dating is just a suit though. Check out the site if your interested. And I think some of those poses the models are doing are just odd.

Music On The Cheap...Or Free If You Prefer

Saul Williams has released a new album which was produced by Trent Reznor, of the Nine Inch Nails, if you don't know and mixed by Alan Moulder. Along the same lines as Radiohead, this album, The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust, is available for download on his website for either $5 or free if you want to be cheap about it. Be warned though, the order page may make you feel bad if you think about going the free route. Just pay up, it's only $5 bucks.

A Tunnel Runs Through It
Artists Dan Havel and Dean Ruck have created what looks like a wormhole in space in an ordinary house. They took an old house that was about to be demolished and made an art project out of it. It looks like something exploded out of it and then time froze. Check out some more pics of the house here.

Woman Shoots Albino Deer
Mary Rakotz or Minnesota heard that there was an albino deer running around somewhere in the area, and she just had to have it I suppose. Albino deer are one of the rarest types of deer around. During the opener on Saturday, November 3rd, Rakotz shot the 6-point buck in Mille Lacs County. According to Rakotz,
"I had heard that it might be in the area, so I thought that here was my chance of a lifetime. So I had to creep a little bit, probably about 40 yards, to get a good place where I could steady myself a little bit. But then I did that and shot and it went right down"
She said she was very excited to see the animal, but it was 100 times more exciting to take it home. Personally, I think it would be much better to have something so rare be able to live it's life in full. Then, everyone else can see it too.

The End
In most movies that were filmed a couple of decades ago, whether it's romance, horror or drama, right before the end credits was a typographical graphic or sometimes even a lasting image stating, "The End." Take a look here at some decade old The Ends. Do you recognize any?

Make a Blabber
What's a Blabber, you ask? A Blabber is a picture in which you cut out the mouth of someone, or something, and make it look like it's talking. Blabberize is a site that lets you do this really easily, and it can be a whole lot of fun. Try it out. Click the picture of the Pope above to go to the one I made.

Is Being Artistic Linked to Schizophrenia?
Art can be linked to many things; intelligence, patience, perceptive... and now schizophrenia. Schizophrenia can be connected to such greats as Van Gogh, Emily Dickenson and Albert Einstein. Individuals with this condition are said to be naturally creative, turning to art as a release of their deepest thoughts and emotions.
Take a look at Stuart Baker-Brown's story and his connection to art and schizophrenia.
